Loughton Contracts were appointed by Bouygues to carry out the flooring works at the Broomfield Hospital.
It was fundamental for Broomfield Hospital, and Bouygues E&S, that the construction works didn’t impact the patient experience negatively and that the service remained consistent across the hospital. As the hospital remained open during these works.
The installation was over a huge scale, with 28,000m2 of Lino Sheet being installed, the majority of the floor finishes consisted of Forbo Linoleum, which is extremely durable and very resistant to wear and tear. It is used in buildings such as hospitals as it is flexible, where materials such as ceramic, would crack in such environments.
Alongside this, we fitted in 180 wet rooms with Forbo R12 Anti Slip. Flooring can be hazardous so choosing the most efficient safety flooring possible is vital to help ensure that accidents are kept to a minimum. This floor covering has a guaranteed life time slip resistant performance.
